Shaft- & flywheel couplings
Shaft couplings
In addition to transferring engine power, the key function of shaft couplings is to connect two rotating shafts running at the same speed. These shafts are capable of accommodating axial, radial and angular misalignment, as well as handling vibrations and shock loads. Executions: rigid, flexible, elastic and super-elastic. If required, Stemin can also supply couplings with the following certificates: ATEX, API-610 and API-671. Torque [TkN] up to 1.000.000 Nm.
Flywheel couplings
A flywheel coupling connects the flywheel of a combustion engine to a shaft. This type of coupling can also accommodate axial, radial and angular misalignment, as well as handling (torsional) vibrations and shock loads. Executions: flexible, elastic and super-elastic. Torque [TkN] up to 25.000 Nm.
FEATURES – Shaft & Flywheel Couplings
- provide protection against and enable axial, radial, angular and torsional errors
- minimise the effects of torque surges (impact loads)
- dampen vibrations, in particular torsional vibrations
